Optimizing BEO Berlin's Brand Presence: Web Design, SEO, and More

BEO MedConsulting Berlin GmbH was founded in 2000 and is based in Berlin. The company advises manufacturers on the testing and approval of medical devices. The three letters stand for "Consulting, Creating, and Organizing." BEO Berlin acts as an interface between testing bodies, authorities, and health insurance associations, supporting companies in meeting the requirements set for the manufacturers, their medical products, and the related documentation.

BEO Berlin assists its clients in implementing quality management systems in accordance with legal regulations. Additionally, seminars on medical device law are offered.

BEO fills the communication gap between manufacturers, testing laboratories, and institutions. 20 years later, BEO Berlin is a strong team with broad expertise and long-standing client relationships. The team's extensive experience spans various fields, from orthopedic and rehabilitation technology to safety compliance.

BEO Berlin provides its complete range of services both nationally and internationally to its clients.

Our Task

In 2020, BEO MedConsulting Berlin GmbH commissioned INVICTUS as the agency for the company's entire brand presence. As a consulting firm for medical product manufacturers, BEO positioned itself as a comprehensive service provider in the healthcare market. In a collaborative workshop, the next steps were discussed to enhance BEO's brand presence.

Project Goals

The focus was then placed on the website presence. A mind map for the structure and layout of the website was created in collaboration with both parties. The goal was to develop a clear and structured website that would immediately inform BEO's clients about the key services and offerings.

The Challenges

  • Integration of complex topics such as medical device regulations and quality management into a clearly structured website.
  • Development of a unified corporate design for various communication channels.
  • Internationalization of content to address a broader target audience.

Implementation

At the content level, the individual text contributions were revised and adapted by INVICTUS with a focus on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The images were specifically produced by BEO BERLIN for the new website. Additionally, the entire website was translated into English to reach a broader customer base.

From a design perspective, a style guide was created initially, including color palettes, fonts, logos, and image language guidelines. To improve visual engagement, special information and process graphics were created, which were then integrated into the website under the relevant sections. Custom design elements were also crafted to further emphasize BEO BERLIN’s image style.

For better navigation and orientation, a glossary tab was added to the menu bar. Additionally, a chat and news module were incorporated into the website as highlights. This allows website users to submit personal inquiries and stay informed about current events.

Another task was the overhaul of the PowerPoint slide master, which BEO BERLIN will use for all future presentations. The style guide with its individual elements served as a reference for this.

Furthermore, BEO’s email signature was revised, and business cards were designed to support personal contact.

In the future, further collaboration with BEO BERLIN on website optimization and expansion is planned. This includes the creation of a portal with a login for order processing, where simple or standardized services can be accessed in a manner similar to an online shop.

Additionally, INVICTUS will take over the maintenance of the newly launched website, including daily backups, regular monitoring, updates, and SEO optimization.
